Elkhart offers locations for Christmas tree disposal after the holiday

ELKHART, Ind. – The city of Elkhart is offering locations to dispose of trees at no cost through the New Year.

Residents and non-residents can properly dispose of the trees at multiple locations in Elkhart.

These locations include: West Side Middle School, North Side Middle School, Pierre Moran Pool and the Riverview Park Softball Complex.

Starting on January 6, residents of Elkhart can place their trees at their curb to be picked up on trash day.

The city asks that the trees be free of any decorations before disposal.

Both programs will continue until January 17.
