ELKHART, Ind. -- In a Town Hall meeting on Tuesday, Elkhart Mayor Rod Roberson announced that the delay in construction on Main Street will be over soon.
Mayor Roberson says that construction on North Main Street, just outside of Wellfield Botanic Gardens, has been in a delay lately due to a construction part being on hold in the shipping process amid the pandemic-fueled supply chain issues.
“We have a North Main Street project that actually was held up because we couldn’t get a part. It has been so difficult with the supply chain. The supply chain has choked off our ability to have certain things. We had one part that held us up for three months,” said Mayor Roberson.
Fortunately, that construction part has officially made its way to Elkhart.
