ELKHART, Ind. -- The Nappanee Street campus of the Elkhart Clinic is closed temporarily on Thursday due to safety precautions, the clinic announced in a social media post.
"We are investigating an unidentified vapor in the building, and while the source is still being looked into, the safety of our patients and staff is our top priority," the statement reads.
"We've evacuated the main building and moved services to alternate locations. There is no threat to our other buildings or campuses, and care is continuing at those locations."
The clinic said impacted patients would be contacted to reschedule and lab services will still be available at alternate sites.
"Imaging will be unavailable for the time being," the clinic said. "We'll keep you updated as we learn more. Thank you for your patience and understanding during this time."
