Elkhart car dealership broken into Monday morning

ELKHART, Ind. -- The Elkhart Police Department reports officers responded to Lochmandy Motors at 920 N. Nappanee St. in reference to a burglary in progress around 5:27 a.m., Monday.

The report states upon arrival officers found a broken window to a service door on the side of the building.

Officers did a sweep of the building but found no one inside.

Police found items in disarray and at the time of the report being made, it was unclear if anything was missing from the business.

The case remains under investigation.
