Election Results: Republicans win a slate of St. Joseph County races
CORRECTION: When this article was originally published on Tuesday night, ABC57 mistakenly believed we had 100 percent of the votes in. We have learned that in the race for St. Joseph County Treasurer, there were still more votes to be counted, and when those votes were all counted, we had a different winner.
The official winner of the 2024 race for St. Joseph County Treasurer is democrat Mary Beth Wisniewski who received 54,571 total votes to republican Michael Rose's 53,122.

ORIGINAL: ST. JOSPEH COUNTY, Ind. -- In what some refer to as "down ballot races," local republicans are riding a red wave of victory Tuesday night as their candidates have claimed the county coroner, recorder, and surveyor seats.
While the victories came in bunches, many of them came by very slim margins.
In the race for St. Joseph County Treasurer, democrat Mary Beth Wisniewski who received 54,571 total votes to republican Michael Rose's 53,122.
Candace Brown won the seat of County Recorder by a close margin of 51 percent (50,523 votes) while her democratic opponent took 49 percent (48,185).
In the race for county surveyor, republican Derek Dieter scored 51 percent of the votes (50,706 total votes) and democrat Ed Fisher got 49 percent (48,577 total votes).
In the race with the biggest margin of victory of these four seats, republican incumbent Patricia Jordan won the seat of St. Joseph County Coroner with a victory of 53,044 total votes (54 percent) to democratic challenger Michael McGann's 45,720 (46 percent).
