Election Day in Indiana: What you need to know

Polls are open in Indiana from 6 a.m. until 6 p.m. If you are in line at 6 p.m. you will be allowed to vote.

The Indiana Secretary of State wants to remind all voters:

  • You cannot bring election materials inside a polling location.
  • You cannot wear items into a polling location supporting or opposing a candidate or issue.
  • You cannot comment on another voter’s support of a candidate or issue inside of a polling location.
  • You are required to bring a photo ID. [More info]

Report election/voting issues:

Indiana Secretary of State and Indiana Election Division HAVA Fraud and Accessibility Grievance Line (866)- IN-1-VOTE (866-461-8683). HAVA staff will be on hand to answer calls from 6:00 AM to 7:00 PM (Indianapolis time) on Election Day and from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM on regular business days.
