Eight injured following semi-truck crash with tour bus

ABC 57

BERRIEN COUNTY, Mich. -- Michigan State Police confirmed to ABC7 News that troopers responded to a two-vehicle crash involving a semi-truck and a tour bus around 6 p.m. Sunday on I-94.

Police say a tour bus and a semi-truck were both traveling east on I-94 when the semi went into the bus's lane, which caused the bus to flip on its side and block the eastbound lanes.

Traffic was shut down for a short time.

Authorities say the driver of the semi and all seven passengers in the bus were injured and taken to Corewell Health in St. Joseph.

MSP Niles Post is investigating the crash.

Police say they don't believe drugs or alcohol to be a factor.
