Parts of Michiana picked up more rain on Wednesday, as a cold front brought additional showers and thunderstorms to the area.
Thunderstorms with heavy downpours formed over Kosciusko and Fulton counties Wednesday afternoon, bringing rainfall to the areas that need it the most. Last week, drought conditions started to resurface across southeastern Michiana after weeks of hot weather and little rainfall.
However, it appears the drought could be over before it really began. Rainfall estimates across Michiana are measuring from two to four inches in just the last four days.
We told you a pattern change would lead to increased shower and thunderstorm chances for the area, and that has already come to fruition, making a number of local farmers, landscapers and gardeners happy.
More rain and storm chances will arrive this weekend, and next week could be active as well.
