ELKHART COUNTY, Ind. -- The Elkhart County Sheriff's Office reports deputies responded to C.R. 3 and C.R. 52 for a two-vehicle crash around 12:12 p.m. Monday.
The report states a 2006 Chevy Malibu, driven by 50-year-old Mark Della of Walkerton, was traveling east on C.R. 52 before coming to a stop at the intersection of C.R. 3.
Authorities say that's when Della proceeded through the intersection, where he failed to yield to a 2013 Hyundai Elantra, driven by a 27-year-old Elkhart man, traveling south through the intersection.
Della's vehicle collided with the Elantra.
A passenger in the Elantra, identified as an 18-year-old Nappanee woman, had complaints of chest and neck pain and was taken to Elkhart General Hospital.
Della was cited for Disregarding a Stop Sign.
