SOUTH BEND, Ind. - Downtown South Bend celebrated the two-year anniversary of Stockroom East, an intentional creative community co-working space that can also host concerts, parties, and special events.
The city held a ribbon cutting ceremony Thursday morning.
Courtney Kulby, Director of Business Development of DTSB, stated, "We have things to offer people who are local, we have things to offer people who are visiting from out of town and really quite frankly, your weekend should be booked like start to finish every single weekend because of all the cool things that we have going on every weekend."
"Finding a way to repurpose and bring new life into this building. We appreciate that because it takes creativity. It takes a lot of grit, and dedication to make these things happen, because otherwise it just sits empty, and doesn't bring life back to our city. So, thank you so much for bringing your creativity as well as your investment into the city.", added James Mueller, Mayor of South Bend.
Recently, Stockroom East was awarded an exterior enhancement grant through the city to add a new sign and dress up the building.
