LA PORTE COUNTY, Ind. -- The La Porte County Sheriff’s Office reports they're investigating a string of several incidents along US 421 where a number of vehicles were intentionally damaged.

Authorities say this occurred on Dec. 13 between the hours of 2:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m.

Investigators say a total of seven vehicles were damaged. Motorists told deputies they were traveling on US 421 when their vehicle was struck by an object discarded from a vehicle traveling in the opposite direction.

The report states each incident caused different amounts of damage to victims' vehicles.

Authorities say this occurred on US 421 between C.R. 200 North and C.R. 1800 South.

The sheriff's office states patrols will be increased in an attempt to identify the suspect.

Motorists are encouraged to remain alert and report further incidents.
