Deputies attempt to serve arrest warrant, arrest different man on separate warrants

LAGRANGE COUNTY, Ind. -- The LaGrange County Sheriff's Office reports deputies attempted to serve an arrest warrant Saturday around 2:27 p.m. at a residence in the 7700 block of E. 500 S. in LaGrange, when they identified a second individual with two arrest warrants.

Deputies identified Steve Gose, who has two warrants out of LaGrange County, on the property.

The report states while deputies were attempting to take Gose into custody, he resisted and fled on foot.

Authorities say a short pursuit ensued before Gose was restrained and taken into custody.

Gose was taken to the LaGrange County Jail for both LaGrange County warrants with the additional charge of Resisting Law Enforcement with Prior Convictions, a Level 6 Felony.

Authorities say the case will be forwarded to the LaGrange County Prosecutor's Office for further review.
