UPDATE: The Chikaming Township Police department has identified the body as 48-year-old Charles Zalewski, of Ohio.
Police say the circumstances surrounding Zalewski’s death remain under investigation
ORIGINAL STORY: BERRIEN COUNTY, Mich. -- At approximately 11:00 a.m. on September 8, 2025, officers with the Chikaming Township Police Department responded to Arlington Metals in Sawyer, Michigan, after a report of a body found in a pond on the property. Upon arrival and further investigation, responding units confirmed the presence of a deceased individual.
