Deadly two-vehicle crash on S.R. 13 in Middlebury Wednesday morning

MIDDLEBURY, Ind. -- The Elkhart County Sheriff's Office reports deputies responded to S.R. 13 south of C.R. 2 for a two-vehicle crash around 4:25 a.m., Wednesday.

The report states a 2015 GMC Sierra, driven by 20-year-old Kenneth Miller of Centerville, Mich., was traveling south on S.R. 13 south of C.R. 2.

A 2012 Mazda Q5, driven by 43-year-old Jose Rosales Munoz of Elkhart, was traveling north on S.R. 13 south of C.R.2.

Authorities say Miller drove left of the center line and struck Munoz head on.

Deputies say Munoz was pronounced dead at the scene.

Miller was taken to Goshen General Hospital with chest pain.

No citations were given, and authorities say the crash remains under investigation.
