Three arrested following SBPD SWAT Team response Thursday

SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- The South Bend Police Department reports three people were arrested Thursday in connection with an investigation that led to a response from SBPD's SWAT Team.
Police say SBPD's Strategic Focus Unit was in the 400 block of W. Marion Street when officers observed a subject who was wanted on a felony warrant.
With help from SBPD's Real-Time Crime Center, police say they witnessed the subject entering a residence on Marion Street.
Officers say they then attempted to make contact with the subject, identified at 49-year-old Terrance Snelling, Jr., but were unsuccessful.
The report states SFU officers then requested assistance from SWAT and the Hostage/Crisis Negotiation team.
After several hours, authorities say Snelling exited the residence without incident.
Police say a search of the building resulted in the recovery of a firearm and suspected drugs, including cocaine, fentanyl, and marijuana.
Authorities say those discoveries led to the arrests of 70-year-old Donald Anderson and 46-year-old Jameelah Thompson.
All three suspects were taken to the St. Joseph County Jail on preliminary charges.
Snelling was charged with Possession of a Firearm by a Serious Violent Felon, Dealing Cocaine or Narcotic Drug, Dealing in a Schedule I Substance (Fentanyl), Possession of Cocaine or a Narcotic Drug, Possession of a Schedule I Substance (Fentanyl), Burglary, Residential Entry, and Possession of Cocaine (Warrant).
