BENTON HARBOR, Mic. -- BOBO Michigan's new marijuana cultivation plants recently approved to grow, is now able to build with the plans for the facility building approved at a city council meeting Tuesday morning.
The motion to approve the plans were unanimous.
BERRIEN COUNTY, Mic. -- Just a month ago, the Berrien County Health Department was given a $45,000 grant from the Bureau of Licensing and Regulatory Affairs in April. With the money the department was tasked with created a campaign that educated the public on marijuana.
The online campaign is called thedirtonweed.com and is full of verified information to help sort through the myths and educate the public on the dangers of marijuana.
Through listening to staff, personal testimonies, and interactions with those in Berrien County decided to focus their efforts on pre-teens, pregnant and breast feeding women, and anyone who is looking for answers.
The information is being shared online, on rack cards, and even on bulletin boards throughout the county. The Health Department making sure the information is available to groups, schools, and even local dispensaries.
They have reached out to NOBO already, and Gillian Concord of the Health Department says that they have had lovely conversations and are looking forward to continuing positive relations in the future.
