ELKHART COUNTY, Ind. -- On Saturday, June 13, a total of 16 shops in downtown Nappanee participated in an event called Candyland Comes to Nappanee.
Residents and visitors, kids and adults alike, could participate by visiting designated shops and collecting cards. When you're done playing, you exchange your cards for prizes.
Cami Mechling, the Executive Director of Visit Nappanee told ABC57 that the Candyland game is played sometimes at Southgate Crossing in Elkhart, but that it's the first year trying it out in Nappanee.
Mechling added "The best part of this, other than seeing the town absolutely full of people, it's been really busy. It's been the kids, and how fun they, they just walk in and their faces light up, and they're just having a ball."
