Collingsworth expected to miss 4 to 6 months

NOTRE DAME, Ind. -- The Fighting Irish football team will be without Austin Collingsworth for four to six months. Collingsworth had started every game in his first two season.
The junior safety recently underwent shoulder surgery.
In 2011, he was the special teams player of the year.
The Irish open training camp on Aug. 4. The 2012 season kicks off Sept. 1 in Ireland.
