Clean up Hoosier roadways at the annual Trash Bash! event
SOUTH BEND, Ind.- In honor of Earth Day 2023, volunteers and community groups across the Hoosier state will be clearing roadside litter and debris at Trash Bash!, the annual state cleanup event April 21 to 23.
The Indiana Department of Transportation (INDOT) will partner with Adopt-A-Highway volunteers, encouraging individuals and businesses to sign up and volunteer to clean up roadsides along two-lane roads with lower traffic volume.
To get involved, contact INDOT via phone (855-463-6848) or online here.
Once connected with an INDOT Trash Bash! coordinator, volunteers will receive their assigned cleanup location, a brief review of roadside safety, safety vests and trash bags.
INDOT will not be providing transportation to and from the designated cleanup areas.
