GOSHEN, Ind. -- The city of Goshen is offering free trees to residents as part of its urban forestry initiative. The deadline to apply is rapidly approaching, applications must be submitted by Feb.28.
The Department of Environmental Resilience leads the program, which enhances green spaces, improves air quality and supports healthier urban canopies. Homeowners and renters with property owner approval can apply to receive a tree for their yard.
Trees are available on a first come, first serve basis and participants must commit to watering and maintaining them.
This year’s tree selection includes Eastern redbud, American elm, river birch, chinkapin oak and many others. You can view the full list and apply online by clicking here.
