ELKHART COUNTY, Ind. – A safe-drinking water monitor built by SonSet Solutions was voted the Coolest Thing made in Elkhart County.
Over 4,000 voters chose between 30 different unique products built by companies and organizations in Elkhart County, ranging from ice cream to RVs.
The SonSetLink Water Monitor received 25% of the vote.
The Water Monitor provides data on the cleanliness of water for underdeveloped countries and the information can be obtained from anywhere in the world.
The Water Monitor also reports on the amount of water available in a single system and the levels of chlorination in the water.
The biggest benefits of the SonSetLink Water Monitor are that it can inform maintenance crews of emergency situations and it will monitor any potential oncoming system failures.
The technology allows water systems to be salvaged before it is too late.
“Technology for us is cool,” David Russell said, President and CEO of SonSet Solutions. “What’s really cool is that we get to use it to help such large numbers of people in all kinds of situations around the globe.”
A single unit can provide service for up to 10,000 people.
Voting for the Coolest Thing took place between June 1 and June 15.
