Politicians calling for President Joe Biden to step down from Presidency
SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- Monday, republican officials began pushing for the resignation of President Biden.
After many congressional democrats called for Biden to drop out of the race, there are now some on each side of the aisle pushing for him to also leave the Oval Office.
The Democrat Party, fearing a total loss of control to the house if President Biden didn’t step down from running, with a Senate and Presidential election pending this upcoming Nov.
Lawmakers on both sides of the aisle are calling for resignation with concerns of cognitive decline.
Rudy Yakym, republican US Representative is calling for a quits now. “He is substantially worse off than he was three months ago, six months ago, even eighteen months ago and this next six months I don’t think is going to get better for him.”
Polling is tight between potential nominee, current VP Kamala Harris and Former President Trump; however one piece will be critical to getting those to now back the new potential nominee.
“To be in play, they gotta pick a Midwesterner. So that would be maybe the Pennsylvania governor, maybe the Kentucky governor or maybe Gretchen Whitmer, she’s taken her name out, but who knows when that’s really dangled in front of you,” Fred Upton, former Michigan representative, states.
Even though there is support for the new potential nominee, “[Democrats] created a massive nightmare, not only for themselves, but even worse now for the country and that is an issue that is up to them to resolve and them to fix and they need to do just that,” Yakym states. Yakym and his team are fully focused on getting Former President Trump back for 2024.
