GOSHEN, Ind.- For the second year in a row, the city of Goshen is highlighting art in its community. With the Mayor’s Arts Council, the city will be giving away $1,000 in scholarships funds to local artists.
Scholarship applicants will have to work quickly since their submissions have to be reviewed before the 31st of this month.
The winner will be announced mid- September.
The Goshen Mayor’s Arts Council scholarship award is being offered to full-time and part- time students who are currently enrolled in an accredited degree program at any college or university in the US.
It’s even available for students who are in Advanced Placement high school courses and post-graduate students. The winner is chosen based on both need and potential for success.
Along with the scholarship, the council hosts regular meetings every fourth Monday of the month. The location to these meet ups changes each month to highlight a different studio in the city. All events are free.
Visit their Facebook page to attend these meetings along with this website to apply for the scholarship.
