SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- The City of South Bend reported they were investigating potential issues on Edison Road between Quince Road and Pine Road on Nov. 21, which led to them identifying a broken sewer main.
City officials say repair work is set to begin Dec. 2, with an expected completion date of Dec. 11, at which point they anticipate the road to reopen, weather permitting.
The road is currently closed, and motorists are asked to use an alternate route.
The suggested detour route is to use Quince or Pine Roads to access S.R. 2 South and U.S. 20 North.
