SOUTH BEND, Ind. – Indiana Department of Natural Resources and the St. Joseph County Coroner are investigating after a decomposing body was found in the St. Joseph River Sunday morning.
Crews were called to Darden Road and Riverside Drive for a reported body floating. Dispatch confirmed the call just after 10:33 a.m.
A kayaker on the river saw the body and called officials.
