HANCOCK COUNTY, Ind. -- A 4-year-old Hancock County boy wandered away from home Saturday and was missing for four hours. A police bloodhound found the boy in a cornfield.
Police used heat sensors and helicopters but a bloodhound named Gracie was the key to solving the mystery.
"He got very, very far. You don't know what that child can be exposed to predators, the elements water obviously," said Detective Sergeant William Carter of the Indianapolis Metro Police Department.
Carter trains Gracie 16 hours a month to locate missing children and the elderly.
