NOW: Bethel University’s fourth annual Starting Small Summit brings entrepreneurs together

MISHAWAKA, Ind. -- Bethel University’s fourth annual Starting Small Summit took place Wednesday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Rohrer Auditorium.

The annual event gives community members the opportunity to learn from high-profile entrepreneurs from around the nation.

It was moderated by Bethel University business alumnus Cameron Nagle, founder and host of Starting Small Podcast.

This year’s summit featured entrepreneurial stories from Suze Dowling, founder of Pattern, James W. Keyes, former CEO of Blockbuster and 7-Eleven, and Alex Douzet, founder of Ollie and Pumpkin.

"What's special about this year is that in the history and story of Starting Small, there was a time when it was not at Bethel, and this is now. It's come back to campus, and there's a lot of buzz about our students and faculty participating in that, and again, the people themselves that our students get to experience. It helps us really get energized, both in terms of putting Bethel on the map, but also helping the students see what their future may look like as entrepreneurs and businesspeople," said Vice President for Academic Services at Bethel University Abson Joseph, Ph.D.
