Bethel University awarded grant of over $24K for faculty, staff development

MISHAWAKA, Ind. -- Bethel University announced it has been awarded a $24,890 professional development grant through the Network for Vocation in Undergraduate Education, a program run by the Council of Independent College.

University officials say the grant will go toward faculty and staff development provide opportunities for collaboration, resources and training, an extended faculty retreat, and more.

“The ultimate goal of this grant is to assist Bethel faculty and staff with developing shared language in integrating vocational discernment into student services like advising, mentoring, first year experience (FYE) and even course content and design,” says Abson Joseph, Ph.D., Vice President for Academic Services.

Officials say this one-year grant began on July 1 and goes through June 30, 2026.
