Back to school backpack drive-thru rally in South Bend

SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- The South Bend Chapter Indiana Black Expo has announced their annual “Back to School Backpack Drive-Thru Rally”.
The SBCIBE will provide free backpacks and school supplies for K-12 students on Aug. 9 at the Greater St. John Missionary Baptist Church from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.
Supplies are first come, first serve.
Free parent resource bags will be available as well.
There will be fun and fitness including tug of war, obstacle course, Double Dutch, face painting, balloon modeling and snacks from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m.
The City of South Bend Linden Avenue Farmer’s Market will be taking place from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the MLK Dream Center.
This event is in partnership with the Coca-Cola Consolidated, Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Dream Center, Greater St. John Missionary Baptist Church and the South Bend Chapter Indiana Black Expo.
