Applications open for South Bend’s 2023 IGNITE grants
SOUTH BEND, Ind. - Residents can now apply for the City of South Bend’s latest round of IGNITE grants, designed to support projects that positivity impact South Bend neighborhoods.
The IGNITE (Innovation Grants for Neighborhood Inspiration, Transformation and Enhancement) Grant Program gives up to $10,000 to neighborhood associations for local projects.
Last year’s grants supported park improvements, new signage, an expanded community garden and more.
Preference will be given to neighborhood associations that weren’t picked for a grant last year but all associations are encouraged to apply.
Applications are due by August 15.
In the meantime, city officials will host information sessions for community members interested in learning more about the program.
On June 14, officials are hosting two Zoom meetings at 12:30 p.m. and 7 p.m.
On June 20, the community is invited to an informational open house at the TRC (11665 Franklin St.) at 7 p.m.
One-on-one meetings with the Engagement & Economic Empowerment team will be held from June through August.
