Apex climbing gym looking for volunteers and sponsors for USA youth climbing qualifier

MISHAWAKA, Ind. -- Over 240 athletes from four states will take on the USA Climbing Youth Boulder qualifier this weekend in Mishawaka which is why they have an immediate need for volunteers and sponsors.

Shar Rock, Apex Gym Manager says that there will be food, raffles, and a showcase of some of the most talented regional athletes showing off their skills but they need your help.

“We’re looking for a lot of assistant judges right now and again there is no experience necessary there’s a volunteer meeting right before each session starts and they will go over the rules for exactly how to judge each competitor so again it’s really easy just sign up on our website.” said Rock

The next generation of climbers will have the opportunity to test their skills, push their limits and compete for a chance to advance to national competitions.

The apex competition team has been training for months to prepare for the weekend match up their training has been focused on key foot work, rhythm and speed.

To watch the competition unfold this weekend ticket prices for spectators starts at $3 and $10 for a family ticket that will include two adults and additional members that are under 18 years old.

It’s the team of volunteers, coaches, and sponsors that will bring the high stake competition to life and they are calling on the community to get involved.

We are looking for local sponsors to donate swag or prizes to our local volunteers hoping to incentivize more people to sign up. "said Rock “We’re excited it’s going to be a big one the entry list is completely full so two hundred and fourth competitors plus their parents and some coaches it’s going to be big.”

Volunteers are essential but local businesses and sponsors play a big part as well, Apex Gym is looking for the community’s support to enhance the experience for spectators and athletes attending. 

In return of volunteering you will get a free pass to apex climbing gym, access to the climb the boulders after the competition, free food and raffle prizes from local sponsors.

Sponsors that participate will gain exposure to hundred of athletes, families, and spectators.
