SOUTH BEND, Ind. – Ag Days 2024 wrapped up Sunday afternoon after three days of education and fun-based activities.
Ag Day is an annual event held at the St. Joseph County 4-H Fairgrounds that aims to teach families about the importance of the farming community in Michiana.
The event also prides itself on sharing with visitors where food comes from; beyond what's typically seen in a grocery store.
"We all go to the grocery store to get something for home, but this is a way to tie that to a local producer. We've got different people here that raise different products right here in Michiana." said Vice Chair of the St. Joseph County Ag Team.
Activities included games, contests, line-dancing and petting zones, where families could get up-close and personal with a wide variety of animals.
While Ag Days is done for the year, there are more events set to happen at the 4-H Fairgrounds in the coming months.
