ADEC opens Resource Center in Elkhart

NOW: ADEC opens Resource Center in Elkhart

ELKHART, Ind. -- ADEC is officially opening its doors to their brand-new resource center in Elkhart.  The facility is designed to provide resources and opportunities for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

We first brought you the news back in April that ADEC purchased the former disabled American veteran’s building in Elkhart.

After an eight-month renovation process, ADEC will celebrate the grand opening of its new resource center with a formal ribbon-cutting ceremony and light refreshments.

Guided tours will be provided to give visitors an opportunity to explore the facility, learn more about ADEC’s expanded services and see how this center will benefit the community.

ADEC CEO Chris Kingsley believes the new center represents a big step forward in ADEC's mission to provide support and opportunities for individuals with disabilities.

"This center here is a great launching pad for getting out into the community. We have a wonderful transformation drop-off pickup spot here. People are constantly coming and going out in the community engagements as well, which is a huge part of what ADEC does. This center here is a great launching pad for getting out into the community. The opening ceremony will take place from 4 to 6:30 p.m.
