Person hit and killed by train in South Bend

ST. JOSEPH COUNTY, Ind. -- Police say a male whose age is still unknown is dead after being hit by a train in South Bend.
According to the St. Joseph County Police Department, this happened at 2:15 a.m. Friday off of Ardmore Trail, just south of the airport.
According to officers, the male was lying on the tracks, before the train hit him.
The incident is currently under investigation.
This follows a number of deadly train incidents across Michiana since mid-February.
