7-year-old injured in crash while riding a scooter

A 7-year-old girl was injured when she rode her scooter into the path of a vehicle on the roadway Wednesday evening, according to the Kosciusko County Sheriff's Office.
The crash happened in the 300 block of N CR 900 East around 6:39 p.m.
Investigators say the 7-year-old rode a scooter from a driveway into the path of a Dodge Journey, reports said.
The juvenile was struck by the driver's side of the vehicle and was transported to the hospital for a pelvic injury, reports said.
The crash remains under investigation.
