Westville man arrested, charged with Murder of 64-year-old

La Porte County Jail: John T. Jackson LA PORTE COUNTY, Ind. -- A 35-year-old Westville man is in jail after being arrested in connection with the June 8 shooting death of 64-year-old James D. Williams.
The La Porte County Sheriff's Office reports deputies responded to a home in the 2900 west block of US 20 that evening for a report of a man suffering from a gunshot wound.
The victim, identified as Williams, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The Criminal Investigation Division then took control of the investigation, leading to John T. Jackson being identified as the suspect.
Jackson was arrested on Tuesday and booked into La Porte County Jail.
Jackson is officially charged with Murder.
His bond was set at $1 million.
The investigation is ongoing.
