MARSHALL COUNTY, Ind. -- The Marshall County Sheriff's Office reports deputies responded to the area of U.S. 31 and 14th Road around 9:38 p.m. Sunday for reports of a 2009 Toyota traveling north in the southbound lanes.
The report states that authorities were able to find the vehicle in the area of U.S. 31 about three miles south of U.S. 6.
Deputies were then able to safely enter the southbound lanes ahead of the Toyota at which point it came to a stop.
Authorities' investigation revealed the driver, identified as 47-year-old Dolores M. Hernandez, was under the influence of alcohol.
Deputies say field sobriety testing was completed and a certified test later showed her to be over two times the legal limit.
Hernandez was taken to the Marshall County Jail for Operating a Vehicle While Intoxicated with Prior Conviction and Reckless Driving.
Her bond was set at $1,500.
