39-year-old Michigan City man arrested on child porn charges
La Porte County Sheriff\'s Office: Steffano Alan Guess MICHIGAN CITY, Ind. -- The La Porte County Sheriff's Office reports on Thursday, June 20, deputies arrested 39-year-old Steffano Alan Guess on two felony counts regarding child pornography.
The report states Guess was taken into custody after a warrant was issued for his arrest.
This resulted from an investigation by the Indiana State Police Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force when they received a cyber tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children regarding activity on a Synchronoss Technologies account.
Synchronoss is the cloud-based storage provider for digital media on the Verizon Wireless Network.
Guess was taken to the La Porte County Jail where he remains in custody for Child Exploitation-Possession of Child Pornography Under the Age of 12, a level five felony, and Child Exploitation-Possession of Child Pornography, a level six felon.
