21-year-old faces felony counts of Child Exploitation, Possession of Child Pornography
Elkhart County Jail: Chirstopher S. Nicholson ELKHART, Ind. -- A 21-year-old Elkhart man is in jail facing several felony charges related to child pornography following an investigation by the Elkhart Police Department.
EPD reports an officer with the Indiana Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force received a tip on June 1 of possible child sex abuse material connected with IP addresses in this area.
The investigation led to a search warrant being applied for and obtained for the electronic devices at an apartment in the 300 block of Bank Street in Elkhart.
On July 3, police executed the search warrant. Police arrested Chirstopher S. Nicholson at the residence.
Nicholson is facing preliminary charges, including two counts of Child Exploitation, as Level 4 Felonies, one count of Child Exploitation, a Level 5 Felony, and two counts of Possession of Child Pornography, as Level 5 Felonies.
Court documents reveal Nicholson's alleged Snapchat account received at least three graphic videos of child sex abuse material.
Nicholson's bond was set at $250,000.
