ELKHART, Ind. - The Lerner Theatre's annual holiday window installations will be unveiled on Tuesday along Main Street in downtown Elkhart.

This is the third year the theatre has created the displays in partnership with Premier Arts, drawing inspiration from the big city window displays of Marshall Field's.

The idea for the displays began in 2020 during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic and was so popular, the theatre decided to make it a tradition.

While the unveiling itself is not open to the public, the décor can be checked out soon after and throughout the holiday season.

The Lerner will also post photos of the displays on Facebook.

This year's theme is Elf.

Premier Arts will perform Elf the Musical at The Lerner from December 16 through 19.

Tickets for the performances can be purchased online.

Residents can also check out a free showing of Elf, the movie, at 3 p.m. on December 3 during the City of Elkhart Winterfest.

The showing will feature a special visit from Buddy the Elf himself.

The window displays are produced in partnership with Elkhart County Convention Visitors Bureau, 1st Source Bank, ITg, Patrick Industries, Mayor Rod Roberson/City of Elkhart, The Lerner Theatre, Premier Arts, The Mereness Family, Tom Naquin Auto Group.
