1St Source Bank and police warn consumers against phone scam
SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- We just got an update on a scam alert we first brought to your attention over the weekend.
Several people have voiced their concerns about a mysterious phone call they have been getting.
The caller left a message saying they were from 1st Source Bank and asked them to enter their card number.
We called 1st Source Bank on Sunday, but received an answering machine since it was outside normal business hours. However, the company just replied to us via e-mail. They said that they would never call or send an e-mail asking for a client's account number, password, or PIN number.
We also put in a call to South Bend Police to see if they had any information to report. They said they have received calls but as well. They said that if you receive a similar call, simply hang up.
