Youth and teen auditions open for holiday musicals at Wagon Wheel for the Arts Saturday
WARSAW, Ind. -- The Wagon Wheel Center for the Arts announced auditions for youth and teens will open Saturday at 10 a.m., for a Halloween and Christmas musical.
The Wagon Wheel Junior musical is "Zombie Night!" and the Professional Theatre holiday show is "Miracle on 34th Street."
Theatre officials will be casting youth and teens ages 9 to 18 for "Zombie Night!".
They will be casting youth ensemble and small roles for ages 7 to 14 for "Miracle on 34th Street."
For "Miracle," they will also be casting the role of Susan, the singing/dancing leading role for a child actress that appears 6 to 9 years old.
The role of Susan is described as a self-sufficient city girl who is wise beyond her years. The actor playing Susan should appear young enough to believe in Santa Claus but old enough to take on a major role.
Both shows will be auditioned at the same time.
You will fill out a form when you arrive and inform organizers which show or shows you'd like to be considered for.
You can audition for one or both.
Organizers say there's no need to prepare anything, as they'll teach you a short song.
Those asked to stay for callbacks for "Miracle on 34th Street" will sing selections from the show.
Saturday audition times:
- Ages 7 to 9 at 10 a.m.
- Ages 10 to 13 at 10:45 a.m.
- Ages 14 to 18 at 11:45 a.m.
