BOULDER, Co. -- The Boulder community and the entire nation are mourning the loss of at least ten people who were shot at a King Sooper's Supermarket in Boulder, Colorado.
According to officials, police were called Monday at 2:30 p.m. for one victim shot in a parking lot. The shooter then advancing inside the grocery store. Things, quickly taking a terrifying turn, as the suspect armed with a rifle opened fire on law enforcement who then shot back. The standoff lasting 30 minutes, as shoppers fled for help.
Among the ten victims killed, officials have confirmed was one Boulder police officer who has been identified as 51-year-old Eric Talley. Officer Talley was among the first to arrive at the chaotic scene.
The shooter is now in custody, but authorities have confirmed he is still recovering from his own injuries in the hospital. At this hour, investigators still have not revealed any additional information on a possible motive.
