NOW: Wintry conditions through Tuesday

ABC57 First Warning Neighborhood Weather Forecast

Sunday, November 9th, 2025

A Winter Storm Warning is in effect now until 1AM on Tuesday for counties closest to the lake shore. Other surrounding Michiana counties are under a Winter Weather Advisory now until 7pm Monday. Lake Effect snow as begun to impact western and central Michiana and will continue to impact the area, with the heaviest snow expected from 6 PM to 1 AM. The snow that does fall will stick to grassy and elevated surfaces initially; however, as temperatures continue to fall overnight, the likelihood of accumulation on roads and pavements increase significantly. The further west you go, the higher snow totals will be, especially as winds pivot to a north-to-south orientation overnight. Expect a slushy and slick Monday morning and, potentially, evening commute.

Expect frigid temperatures, poor driving conditions and low visibility overnight through Monday morning. There looks to be a but of a lull in snowfall Monday afternoon before another round of snow showers returns Monday evening through Tuesday morning. The winds will hinge once again, becoming more northwesterly, with snow impacting northern Michiana counties. Be weather aware driving over the next few days. Snow eventually wanes going into late Tuesday morning with temperatures gradually warming to near normal by the end of the week. Rain chances return by the weekend.

Tonight: Lake effect snow, accumulation totals 3-6 inches. Low 22.

Monday: PM Lake effect snow, accumulation totals 1-3 inches. High 36.

Tuesday: Some sun, cold. High 36.

Wednesday: More sun, few clouds. Warmer. High 45.
