Historically, we won’t be done with flakes falling until the beginning of April. April 2nd is the average day where South Bend could see 0.1 inches of snow, with the absolute latest in the past 30 years being at the end of April 2019.
Now for more significant snowfall, an inch or more, typically happens closer to the middle of March.
While we are seeing this uncharacteristic warm up, this Fool’s Spring if you will, it is important to remember that in more cases than not, more snow falling in Michiana is not out of the question.
