UPDATE: South Bend Police Department reports that Robert Sims has been found safe.

ORIGINAL STORY: SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- South Bend Police Department is asking for the public's help to locate a missing person with dementia who may be in danger.

69-year-old Robert Sims has been reported as a missing person. Sims was last seen on May 16 in the 900 block of S. Edison Avenue, wearing a white sweater with a blue stripe, brown pants, and a fedora.

He is described as 5'9, 154 pounds, and has gray hair and brown eyes.

Sims may have been spotted on foot near The Inn at Saint Mary's in Roseland.

Sims has dementia and other medical issues; a Silver Alert has also been issued.
