Several reports from St. Joseph, Elkhart and Kosciusko counties shared an unusual sighting around 7:30 p.m. Sunday.
Joe Rao, a columnist at Space.com and lecturer for the Hayden Planetarium at the American Museum of Natural History, joined ABC57 to talk about these strange lights in the sky over Michiana.
The unusual lights turned out to be the SpaceX Starlink satellites, 55 in total and all linked together and launched from Florida early Sunday morning.
Elon Musk's Starlink system is dedicated to providing high speed internet access to rural and remote areas worldwide.
