SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- Construction on the Madison Lifestyle District began on Monday in South Bend.
Drivers will be directed to an alternate route as Madison Street between Michigan and Main Street will be closed while the project is being worked on.
The detour route is LaSalle Avenue on Main Street or Michigan Street.
The project is expected to take place until Dec. 31 of 2027.
