Here are just a few of the events and activities going on in the Michiana area this weekend.

Michiana Master Gardeners Association hosts 6th Annual Elkhart County Garden Expo

The Michiana Master Gardeners Association announced they will host the 6th Annual Elkhart County Garden Expo on Saturday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

The event will include guest speakers, workshops, vendors, seed sales, silent auction, door prizes, and food.

Tickets are $10 per person. You can purchase tickets at the door or online, which adds $1 convenience fee. All tickets can be picked up at the door on Saturday.

The event will take place at Faith United Methodist Church, located at 22045 C.R. 18 in Goshen.

'Big City Build' at Silver Beach Center, LEGO masters at work

Officials with the Silver Beach Center announced the Shadowland Ballroom will be host to the "Big City Build," a LEGO project by the Western Michigan LEGO Users Group, on Saturday and Sunday, noon to 5 p.m.

The event will allow onlookers to watch LEGO professionals build a cityscape masterpiece, while also making their own creations from a large supply of LEGO bricks.

Attendees can also ask LEGO club members for construction tips.

Potawatomi Conservatory hosting Community Wellness event Saturday

Local non-profit Conscious Michiana is inviting the community to a day they hope will be filled with creativity, connection, and healing as they host their free "PLAY – CREATE – HEAL" day on Saturday, March 1.

The interactive wellness events will begin at 11:30 a.m. and conclude by 5 p.m. at the Potawatomi Conservatory.

"This unique gathering is designed for all ages, offering a vibrant mix of holistic experiences aimed at inspiring imagination, rejuvenating the spirit, and fostering community engagement," organizers said.

Event Highlights:

  • Interactive Holistic Classes: Learn new ways to nurture the mind, body, and soul through engaging workshops led by experienced practitioners.
  • Hands-On Creative Stations: Explore art, crafts, and activities designed to unleash your inner artist.
  • Healing Modalities: Connect with skilled holistic practitioners offering diverse healing techniques to relax and recharge.
  • Community Seed Exchange: Bring seeds to share and take home something new to grow.
  • Scavenger Hunt & Prizes: Participate in an exciting scavenger hunt throughout the conservatory for a chance to win prizes.
  • Healthy Food Options: Enjoy delicious, nourishing meals provided by A Bite with Mee, offering a menu of wholesome, tasty options.

The event serves as a fundraiser supporting both Conscious Michiana and the Potawatomi Conservatory in their mission to promote wellness, sustainability, and community connection.

"While admission is free, donations are encouraged, and some practitioners and activities may have individual fees," organizers said. "Attendees are encouraged to bring cash to fully experience everything the day has to offer."
