SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- Vaccine eligibility opens up this Wednesday at 8am for ages 16 and up in Indiana. The website to sign up can be found here. Due to high capacity, wait times are to be expected this Wednesday. Now, here are some further questions you might have before you get the shot.
Can I choose which COVID-19 vaccine to get?
The CDC says you should get any COVID-19 vaccine that is available when you are eligible.
Do I need to wear a mask and avoid close contact with others once I have been vaccinated?
The CDC says it depends. For now, fully vaccinated people can gather indoors without social distancing or wearing masks if the other people in the room are fully vaccinated.
If I already had COVID-19 and recovered, do I still need to get vaccinated? The CDC says yes, because experts do not yet know how long you are protected.
